The Birth of Lucky the BYRD through a miscarriage.
I wrote this book because I could not find a quick read that would give me an idea of what to expect and what may or may not happen. I could not find any anywhere. I want this to be the book I needed when I needed it most for those who are going through a miscarriage. To have an idea of what to expect for missed miscarriages, silent miscarriages, loss/grief, postpartum depression, devastation and emotional pain.
I went through a miscarriage early 2024. Mind you, I had been married to my husband for 11 years and had gotten off birth control just before we actually tied the knot. We didn’t necessarily try to have kids. We were content to just let life happen when it decided to happen. However, it just never happened.
7 years into our marriage and we were both turning 40, we decided that maybe it was not in our cards to have any. Then one day 11 years later, I started spotting in a way that was odd to me. I spotted for 5 days straight, before questioning the possibility of being pregnant.
This book is only 45 pages long. It’s written like a kids book so technically it’s more like a 22 page book if it only had words printed, with no illustrations.
During the time I was going through the miscarriage and the devastating postpartum depression, I desperately needed something to make me feel something. Bringing a form of joy to my inner child really helped me from the numbness I created to avoid the pain. So I hope making this book like a children’s book will help you take that first step to bringing some joy into your inner child.
This book would be wonderful for those going through miscarriage, a missed miscarriage, a silent miscarriage, postpartum depression, stillborn miscarriage, loss, and grief.
It’s perfect for yourself if you are going through it and it’s a perfect gift for your loved one if they are going through it. A gift of understanding, support, and comfort.
It is also a good read for the family members. It is hard to verbalize what is happening and how quickly it happens. This book can give you an idea of what she may be going through.
